John D’Alessandro, Esq.
AttorneyA graduate of Hofstra University School of Law where he was awarded a Child and Family Advocacy Fellowship. Prior to joining the Quinn Law Firm, Mr. D’Alessandro had a distinguished twenty year career in law enforcement. During his twenty years with the City of Yonkers Police Department, Mr. D’Alessandro rose through the ranks, retiring as a Detective Sergeant. During his tenure as a detective and homicide investigator he investigated or assisted in the investigation of over one hundred homicides and suspicious death investigations. In 1996 he reopened the unsolved murder of a fourteen year old girl. His four year investigation resulted in the arrest and conviction of a vicious serial killer. Mr. D’Alessandro’s work on this case was profiled on the television show “Cold Case Files”. Prior to retiring from the police department, Mr. D’Alessandro served as the commanding officer of the Westchester County Child Abuse Investigation Team. After his retirement he was appointed by the District Attorney and County Executive to serve as the coordinator of the Westchester County Child Fatality Review Team. In that capacity Mr. D’Alessandro was the first independent coordinator of a Child Fatality Review team in New York State. Mr. D’Alessandro left that position to join The Quinn Law Firm. Mr. D’Alessandro brings to the practice of law a unique understanding of criminal law, criminal investigation, police administration and public policy.
